meshIQ Launches AgentIQ for AI Agent Governance

meshIQ has launched an AI agent governance product designed to intervene inside an agent’s execution flow, giving enterprises a way to stop risky actions before they are completed.

AgentIQ is positioned as a control plane for discovering autonomous agents, restricting what they can do and maintaining an audit record across different agentic frameworks. The product uses a software development kit embedded in an agent’s reasoning path to evaluate runtime context and allow, escalate or deny an action.

That architectural choice is the core of the announcement. Many governance products observe activity from outside an agent’s execution loop, which can leave security teams reacting after a tool call or data transfer has already occurred. In-flow controls are intended to enforce policy while an action is still pending.

“Enterprises are already deploying hundreds of AI agents, but many of them don’t have the guardrails in place to support autonomous operations at scale,” said Greg DeaKyne, vice president of product management at meshIQ. “AgentIQ provides the essential oversight organizations need to govern agents and stop risky actions, so governance can function as an enabler of speed rather than slowing it down.”

Agent governance is becoming an identity and authorization problem as much as an AI safety problem. Autonomous systems can call APIs, access business data and trigger workflows using permissions inherited from users or service accounts. A compromised or poorly configured agent can therefore turn legitimate access into an attack path.

meshIQ says AgentIQ can observe interactions among agents, data, large language models and external systems. The company has not disclosed independent test results, deployment requirements or performance overhead, so enterprises will need to evaluate how reliably the controls operate across their specific agent frameworks.

The launch extends meshIQ’s background in messaging and middleware governance into agentic systems. The company also plans a separate meshIQ AI Agent for the fourth quarter of 2026 to diagnose issues across platforms including IBM MQ, Kafka, TIBCO, Solace, RabbitMQ and ActiveMQ.
